It has been a busy two weeks in the local press for Compass College. Our president, Jay Greer was featured in the Grand Rapids Business Journal. The article focused on Jay's goals for growing Compass College as we celebrate our 25th anniversary.
We've been on the airwaves as well promoting our latest Faith and Film seminar. Titled "The Pitch-a-thon: How to Sell Your Film or Story", it focused on getting your idea sold to distributors. The event featured representatives from national distributors Green Apple Entertainment, Bridgestone Multimedia Group, and Christian Cinema. It was hosted by Joy99 radios's own Tommy Dylan. After the seminar, attendees were given the opportunity to pitch their projects one-on-one to the distributors. This is usually done at large conferences and film markets held in New York or Los Angeles.
Jay spoke about the event and what Compass College hopes it will do for the West Michigan film and media community.
We also got some air time on WZZM13.
This is just the beginning of our 25th anniversary celebration and Compass College's commitment to growing the West Michigan film and media industry. One of our goals moving forward is to connect our area professionals with the national industry where the opportunities for work are constantly growing. We are excited for the journey to continue this year!
