Film & Acting Summer Camps
This June, you can create your own short film in just one week at Film Camp or Acting Camp! In these fun, hands-on camps, you’ll learn from professionals, make new friends, and collaborate with a cast and crew to create a short film. The camps run June 18-22, 2019 and are available to teens ages 13-18.
In this hands-on camp, students work with industry professionals to create their very own short films! Throughout the week they learn how to script, scout, shoot, and edit a film using state-of-the-art equipment. Once the script is ready, the film campers collaborate with the students in the Acting Camp to bring their films to life. As they work with the actors, they learn set etiquette, casting techniques, and how to direct an actor. It all comes together and at the end of the week, there’s a pizza party for the filmmakers and actors, followed by a movie screening where friends and family can watch the films in the big screen theatre at Compass College!
In this engaging and unique camp, students work with acting professionals to refine their on-camera acting skills as they star in the films being produced by the students in the film camp. At the beginning of the week, each acting student is cast for a role in the films. From there they spend the week mastering their character, rehearsing lines, and perfecting their on-camera acting technique. At the end of the week, there’s a pizza party for the filmmakers and actors, followed by a red carpet movie premiere where friends and family can watch their student’s performance on the big screen!
