Is Compass College an accredited college and is it affiliated with any other schools?
CCCA is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges. We are a stand-alone college.

ADMISSIONS
What are CCCA's admissions requirements?

When is Compass College's next program start date?
Due to our cohort-style programs, CCCA has one start date per year. Our next start date is in the fall of 2017.

Does CCCA accept transfer credits?
At CCCA, this is decided on a case-by-case basis based on the classes we offer and the descriptions and requirements of the courses a student has already taken. To find out if any of your classes transfer, please complete this form and return it to the Registrar's Office.

Does CCCA accept Advanced Placement (AP) credits?
Compass College will grant credit for scores of 3, 4, or 5 on the AP tests. In order to receive credit, the student must request that the College Board send score reports to the Compass College Office of Admissions. FINANCIAL AID
How much do the programs at Compass College cost?
Tuition costs for the Bachelor of Fine Arts program and the Associate of Applied Science program are varied. Check here for more information.

What type of Financial Aid is available to students? 
CCCA is a Title IV eligible college. We offer federal financial aid through the FAFSA. Other grants and loans are available. 

Does CCCA have scholarships that I can apply for?
Scholarships vary from year to year. Please contact our Financial Aid Office at 616.988.1000 for more information. 

I have G.I. Bill benefits. Can I use those to attend CCCA?

Are there payment plans available?
Payment for first term is due August 16, 2016; for second term, December 26, 2016; and for third term, May 8, 2017.  On occasion, the college may offer other payment arrangements. All plans require the appropriate amount before the first day of classes. Please contact the Financial Aid Office at 616.988.1000 for more information.

PROGRAMS
What degrees does Compass College of Cinematic Arts offer?
Compass College offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Cinematic and Media Arts and an Associate of Applied Science in Film and Media Production

What makes Compass College's programs different from other film colleges?
Our hands-on curriculum, accelerated program, dedicated faculty and staff, and the chance our students have to spend 400+ hours on set during their first year of studies!

Does Compass College offer classes or programs for high school students?
Yes! Each summer, CCCA offers and Film Camp and an Acting Camp for students ages 13-18. Learn more about our camp programs here.


Will I be required to provide my own equipment?
Students are required to provide some of their own equipment. Major industry equipment needed for film projects is provided by the college.


What will my class schedule be like while attending CCCA?
During the first year of study, classes meet Monday-Friday from 9:00am until 2:00pm. Schedules during the following years vary based on a student's course plan.

STUDENT AFFAIRS
Does Compass College offer housing for students?
CCCA does not currently have on-campus housing for students. However, we have a variety of local contacts and friends of the College who rent properties to students. What types of services are available to CCCA students?
The Student Affairs Office offers academic advising, mentoring, a film critique club, Bible studies, and other campus events. CCCA also has a Career Services Office.
