Keri Lowe - President

Keri Lowe

Keri Lowe is President of Compass College of Cinematic Arts.  Keri has an extensive background in business leadership and management in the entertainment, education and travel industries.  Her most recent experience, before coming to CCCA, was serving as Chief Operating Officer at Eagle Productions in Orlando, Florida, where she oversaw the film and video production of leading entertainment and educational clients, including The Walt Disney Company, Universal Studios, Monsanto, Motorola, Montel Williams Show, Mattel Toys, The Disney Institute, Harcourt Publishing, Scott Foresman Publishing, Orange County Schools, Osceloa School District and more.  She also was the Executive Producer for several national PBS documentaries, including Zora’s Roots, River Into the New World and The Sponge Divers of Tarpon Springs.

Prior, she oversaw the Public Relations team for Disney Vacation Club. Her marketing tenure at the prestigious Robison, Yesawich and Pepperdine Advertising Agency included managing the publicity and promotional efforts for the some of the world’s largest travel industry clients.  Previously, she was a college instructor, teaching English, Marketing, Advertising and Behavioral Science.

Keri has won several top awards for her leadership, film and promotional work, including Telly, Addy, Golden Bell, Golden Image, and National Microphone Awards.  Keri holds a Journalism and Communications degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with specialty in Film and Television and a minor in Psychology.  She also served as a lay minister for over 25 years where she continued her studies in counseling, particularly from a Christian perspective. 

Keri is a board member on charitable, civic, entertainment, and educational boards.  Additionally, she’s an avid reader and, as a hobby, continues to edit book manuscripts for published authors.

Mark Clayman - Career Services Director (Western Division)

Mark ClaymanMark Clayman is a Los Angeles-based producer who originated, initiated the development, and produced Sony’s box office hit "The Pursuit of Happyness," for which Will Smith received an Oscar nomination for best actor. In addition to his filmmaker role, he serves Compass College as the Career Services Director (Western Division) and as faculty supervisor of the Internship course.

Mark's experience in the film industry is extensive. He has appeared in numerous national commercials and television programs including, "Alf," "Saved by the Bell," and Disney's "A Thanksgiving Promise." With an eye toward producing film and television, Mark took a job with Brillstein-Grey, a major management and production company. He participated in numerous television shows and pilots, ultimately as an associate producer. The relationships and rights Mark secured during this time soon landed him in partnership with Steve Tisch, Todd Black and Jason Blumenthal at Escape Artists on "The Pursuit of Happyness."

Along with his responsibilities at Compass, Mark is the head of Veralux Media's west coast operations, and has prominent feature projects in development at several studios and is pitching to major television networks several series that he is working on in collaboration with an Emmy award-winning show runner. Mark enjoys traveling, kickboxing and spending time with his son and daughter.

Aaron Greer - Media Services Specialist

Aaron Greer

Aaron Greer is the college's Media Services Specialist. His position allows him to do the thing he loves best: supporting students in their journey toward becoming successful media artists.

Aaron graduated from Hope College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Business Management. He also earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Film and Media Production from Compass College of Cinematic Arts.

During his time as a student at Compass, Aaron directed two short films, edited several projects and produced an award-winning film, "Stuntman." In the summer of 2012, Aaron directed and produced his first feature film, "The Stone Sisters: Exodus." He continues to work in the film industry, enjoys talking about Star Wars and other films and loves spending time with his wife.

Tom Greenberg

Tom GreenbergTom Greenberg is an Emmy®-winning editor and 30-year film production industry expert. He began his work as a faculty member at Compass College of Cinematic Arts in 2009 and teaches post-production, cinematography, and advanced editing. He also is the faculty supervisor for the students' first year Capstone Projects.

After studying at the University of Michigan and Eastern Michigan University, Tom began his career in the recording studio, spending hours in sessions with big-name musical artists, learning the art of sound mixing and sound editing.

His first film experience came in 1987 when he was asked to consult on sound design for "Moontrap," a feature film starring Walter Koenig (Mr. Chekov of the original "Star Trek") and a very young Bruce Campbell. He was subsequently hired on the film as a sound effects editor and sound designer. Later, Tom and other editors from "Moontrap" formed Paradise Post, an all-digital audio post-production facility, specializing in sound design and mixing for films, corporate videos and commercials.

In 1994, Tom saw a need in the Detroit market for an innovative video and animation studio and founded Braincell Pictures. As the company's primary editor, Tom worked with a wide variety of clients including General Motors and the Detroit Institute of Arts.

In 2005, Tom moved to West Michigan to pursue his love for Great Lakes salmon fishing. He continues his work outside of Compass as the co-founder of EO MediaWorks, a media creation company specializing in content-management websites. He and his wife enjoy watching films and exploring the Lakeshore.

Joshua Courtade

Joshua CourtadeJoshua is a prolific writer, director and actor. In 2008, Joshua joined the Compass College team as a faculty member teaching producing, directing and screenwriting.

A graduate of Grand Valley State University, Joshua earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing and a certificate from the Writing Department as its Outstanding Student of the Year. He also attended classes at Compass College and at Act One's intense summer screenwriting program in Los Angeles.

Along with imparting his love for cinema to a new generation of filmmakers, Joshua's passion lies in writing and directing his own short and feature film projects. His films have shown at prominent festivals including the East Lansing Film Festival, the Grand Rapids Film Festival, the Michigan Film Festival, the Made-in-Michigan Film Festival, the HollyShorts Film Festival, the Chiaroscuro International Film Series, and the Short Film Corner at the Cannes International Film Festival. Joshua recently was awarded "Best Actor in a Short Film" at the Uptown Film Festival for his role in "Vanishing Act."

Among his many other accomplishments, Joshua and his writing partner recently signed an option agreement for their feature screenplay, "The Boiling Point" When he's not busy teaching about writing, directing and films, Joshua spends his time writing, directing and watching films.
